Vacation with my parents-- the falls

So the last day we were in Oregon, we went up to the falls. it was really full! but it was nice to go up and see the ole swimmin hole!

ah, the next day of our vacation

sorry this has been so late. it seems i came down sick with a nasty throat virus. so i have been sleeping the last few days of my days off... so here are some more pics. the day after we went to the coast, we went out shooting guns (Joe had never done it, and then we went up to the falls!)

Weekend with my Parents. Day 1

Hey everyone! Ive been busy for the last couple weeks! i worked my regular schedule, then we headed to oregon for the weekend! it was a blast! a bit cold and windy at the coast, but the next day it was about 70. we drove everywhere checking things out, ate at some great resturants, and Don showed my friend Joe, how to shoot guns!! here are some pics!



here is the ocean. way different than the one at bodega bay. it was quite cold that day!


but it is still just as beautiful! this is over where the sea lions are, its the oregon coastline!


Don took us into the harbor to see all the boats. It would be fun to go out on a boat on the ocean!



as you can see, it was hazy and windy. but it made a great pic!


here is Joeseph lookin at the sea lions thru one of the telescopes. you could hear them all the way up where we were.


and here is what he was looking at! its not a very good picture, but my camera didnt have the zoom to take a pic, so we took it thru the telescope!


here is me. can you tell im FREEZING! i had on so many clothes. but it was nice to go beachcomb.

some of you may wonder, "what the heck is she doing with this Crafting stuff"? well, here are some pics of stuff i have made for family and friends!


i made this for a friend at work who is totally obsessed with hotwheels! inside I made "hotwheels magnents" for his fridge. im pretty sure he really liked it!


I made a set of these "starbucks ornaments" for a good friend of mine who just might love starbucks more than I do! there was a set of about 8 in the gift. I know she loved it! i think she left her christmas tree up longer just so she could keep them out!


and it looks like thats all i have on my computer! i thought i had more, or maybe i just didnt take pictures of the other stuff! i will have to start!

Happy Saturday!

Hello all! I woke up this morning to a wonderful blue sky and the birdies singing. hopefully it lasts! earlier this week, we had a terrible snowstorm (as did much of the country!) and it really wasnt fun! i thought we were going to go into spring!!
not much more going on here. another week down. its the weekend! yaay! and i have plans to watch movies and drink coffee. its a relaxer! we have plans to go to oregon next weekend, hopefully the good weather holds up! i have been working on projects for birthdays, and quite possibly chrismas. i dont know yet. i really want to start painting! so that is my goal for the next couple months.

another week down...

not much has really happened this last week. i worked. with our new contract, we now get major money for working holidays. I just so happened to work one this last week, so hooray! im getting excited for the things we have planned for the next couple months. we are talkin about a trip to virginia city, maybe a trip over to vacaville. i saw online a cool cottage you can rent in Yahatz, oregon. and im sure many trips here and there. right now im saving and working on consolidating my stuff, that way when i move in June, i will come out ahead. so far, im doing great!
as for my arts n crafts stuff, i have a couple big projects planned. and i am REALLY trying to start on christmas stuff early! i opened an online store. most of you have been sent the link. i know it may be a bit hard to navigate, but it was the only really free website i could open. so, that is really about it. just work, and sleep, and hang out with my buddy for now.... maybe when the weather gets better we can start travelin and visitin people! right now, its snowing off and on. i guess the groundhog was wrong!

so for this month....

i have been MIA for awhile. well, as you see in the pics, i have a new guy friend. he is great! loves to just go do stuff, and still loves to hang out and relax. ive been spending alot of time with him, doing fun stuff. we took that trip to santa rosa this last weekend, and we have a trip to go visit my mom and don for march. (her newly remodeled store grand opens about that time) i am quite sad that i dont get to go on the trip with them to see Gpa Bob and Dorothy. but this summer there is all kinds of things going on im sure. work picked up for a bit, i got in some good overime days, but we have slowed down. im still maninly working. i have decided i want to start painting. so first, i will use my chalks for that. my pal Valarie is redoing her house, so i have been trying to help her. i want to make something great for it. im making cards still. i think i am going to start workin on christmas presents this next week i have off. (every year i say im going to start early!) other than that, not too much going on. I did get the bad ball joint fixed on my car. now it drives super smooth. i go in for an orthodontist apointment next week, and i can try to find out how much closer we are getting to surgery. (they have a new doc in there, so one doesnt really know what the other is doing) one guy says next month, and the other says next year. so i dont really know. as soon as i do, i will let you know! oh, and the other day i babysat the two premie babies my best friend had almost 2 years ago. i think i did pretty well. i didnt lose my patience, didnt get frustrated. hey, we even went on a walk down to the post office! so for now, im just pluggin right along!

Went to Santa Rosa for the weekend!

hi all. well, it was a fantastic weekend!! i have a friend who has a ton of family in Santa Rosa. well, the new guy I am seeing also grew up there. My friend Val, invited us to her uncles superbowl party. and since we were off, we took a trip up there. it was so much fun! he took me to Bodega Bay. its where that alfred hitchock movie BIRDS, was filmed. it was really nice over there as well. about 70 degrees. on the ocean it was sunny, warm (about 65) and NOT windy. it was fantastic! we stopped at a place to go down a trail to drink our coffee and eat breakfast. and then we goofed around on the beach for a bit.

saturday we got up and hopped in the car. we took our time, stopping in truckee and a few places in california. then, we hit sanfrasisco around 10. it was dark, so we got lost. we got to drive around downtown for a bit... finally Joe stopped and asked a taxi for directions. so to go north on 101 to get to Santa Rosa, we had to cross the golden gate. it was very pretty at nite time. we pulled over at the vista point just after it and took some great pics. i tried to climb on some fence to get a better pic, but they must have cameras everywhere cuz outta nowhere i was told to GET OFF THE FENCE. so, satisfied with the pics we took, we headed north. we spend sunday morning at Bodega bay, then we went to the superbowl party. first superbowl i have ever watched. it was okay, but the food and the party was awsome! i think we are going to make it a yearly thing!

oh yeah

i just realized i didnt post about christmas. well, some of you know the story. as for those of you who dont, here it is


We were scheduled to work for christmas, but usually they close the plant. but my mom didnt know this. well, the weather has been really nice, so i decided a couple weeks before, that i would like to go home for christmas. I called Don, and let him know my plans. then, a good friend of mine, offered her jeep to take up there in case of bad weather. (good idea too!!) so, christmas eve, i got off work at 7 am, went home to nap, and got ready to go to oregon around 3ish. I headed up there, getting out of the forest at 6. this was perfect, since thats the time i usually leave for work. i called my mom to talk to her, and i could tell she was pretty bummed. she couldnt believe i had to work on christmas. so i told her i would call her later on my break, she sounded sad. well, around 9 i pulled into their driveway. since i was not in my car, everyone (except Don) was like "theres a white jeep out there?" so she came out to see who it was, and i walked up to the door, and asked if i could stay the nite. The first words out of her mouth were "NO WAY! you said you had to work!! WHAT are you doing here!!!!" she was really happy. then, she was sad that i had no presents to open, but i had all the presents from home, so i brought em in and said "dont worry i brought my own!" we had a fantastic christmas, and i stayed an extra day to spend some time with my mom.......
so thats what happended over christmas. my next post will be about my MIA status. tons of good things have come my way since Jan 1st.

For my birthday, we threw a party down at the pool hall. then went to bullys. its a sports bar down by my house. we had a lot of fun! here are some of the pics

santa crawl continued

We did this chairity a few weeks ago. the thing is, Reno has 17 bars downtown. well, once a year, everyone dresses like santa and they hit up as many bars as they can. for every santa served, the bar donates 50 cents to the food bank. this year, my friends and i decided to participate. it was a blast! All together there were about 2,000 santas. The only bad part was that it was really really cold out. but i was dressed in a santa suit, so i was warm.

the first pic below is me with this guy that dressed up like a knome. he was the only one so it was quite funny.

then next pic is myself, and my boss/good friend Billy. we went together.

all in all, we ended up going to 9 bars. after that, we were too tired and intoxicated to go to anymore. so we rented a room downtown so there was no drinking and driving.

Santa Crawl

doing okay

hi all. well, i have been doing great! had a birthday couple weeks ago. thanks to all who sent and gave me the awsome gifts! we had a good day. i worked, but after work, my pals took me out to dinner. and the weekend right before, we went and played pool at the pool hall, then went down to bullys and had drinks. new years was great! went down to my friends and we proceeded to drink the new years in, and play old school nintendo. so far, the new year has been wonderful. i still have to take my car to get fixed. I am getting ready for mouth surgery sometime in the next 3 months. and i am working alot of overtime to pay these odds and ends off. my goals have been simple, and right now, everything has been going wonderful!

getting ready

so i am getting ready for christmas. getting the last minute gifts made, making the last of the christmas card orders, and trying to do mine. at work, they are giving us christmas eve and christmas day off, so i am planning a WONDERFUL surprise for my ma. (stay tuned for it). other than that, i am on my week off, so i can get some stuff done.. (speaking of, i must get off my bum and make the 60 cards ninnie wants for christmas, and post new cards on my website. so tata for now!

the holidays with the family

for thanksgiving this year, we had almost everyone here. with my new schedule, i ended up starting my 7 off right when my mom and dad came up. we spent 3 WONDERFUL days together. one day, i went shopping with my mom. one day i gambled with my dad. we had a "mini" thanksgiving the night before they had to leave. it was so fun! (once i learn how to post pictures on here, i will)
we had a great thanksgiving with my nana and grampa, and aunts and uncle. and my other aunts brought their families over, so we had a lot of laughs and all around, good times! i got to see a cousin i havent seen in a LONG LONG time! (the kid is almost taller than i am) our thanksgiving was excellent. we had all the trimmings (except i totally forgot i wanted to try sweet potatoes this year) i got the honor of making the eggs. my uncle had to leave a bit early, but i have had a great time with my aunt who stayed to visit.
lately, i have been working like a dog. i am supposed to have surgery on my mouth sometime after the 1st of the year. im trying to get the rest of that paid off, and try to get some bills paid down, so that this summer coming up, i can take the vacations i want to, and see the people i want to. so far, well, so good.
its been really really cold here. but i dont mind that, its the snow i dont care for. i am keeping my fingers crossed that we dont get any...
so for now, thats about it that i have to write about. keep checking back thought, im sure some interesting things will be coming up!
