getting ready

so i am getting ready for christmas. getting the last minute gifts made, making the last of the christmas card orders, and trying to do mine. at work, they are giving us christmas eve and christmas day off, so i am planning a WONDERFUL surprise for my ma. (stay tuned for it). other than that, i am on my week off, so i can get some stuff done.. (speaking of, i must get off my bum and make the 60 cards ninnie wants for christmas, and post new cards on my website. so tata for now!

the holidays with the family

for thanksgiving this year, we had almost everyone here. with my new schedule, i ended up starting my 7 off right when my mom and dad came up. we spent 3 WONDERFUL days together. one day, i went shopping with my mom. one day i gambled with my dad. we had a "mini" thanksgiving the night before they had to leave. it was so fun! (once i learn how to post pictures on here, i will)
we had a great thanksgiving with my nana and grampa, and aunts and uncle. and my other aunts brought their families over, so we had a lot of laughs and all around, good times! i got to see a cousin i havent seen in a LONG LONG time! (the kid is almost taller than i am) our thanksgiving was excellent. we had all the trimmings (except i totally forgot i wanted to try sweet potatoes this year) i got the honor of making the eggs. my uncle had to leave a bit early, but i have had a great time with my aunt who stayed to visit.
lately, i have been working like a dog. i am supposed to have surgery on my mouth sometime after the 1st of the year. im trying to get the rest of that paid off, and try to get some bills paid down, so that this summer coming up, i can take the vacations i want to, and see the people i want to. so far, well, so good.
its been really really cold here. but i dont mind that, its the snow i dont care for. i am keeping my fingers crossed that we dont get any...
so for now, thats about it that i have to write about. keep checking back thought, im sure some interesting things will be coming up!

whew!

well. its been awhile since i have updated this so here i go..

i have been working a TON! trying to get my things paid down and bank some money. I have gotten my shift at work switched. so now, i am working with a whole new crew of people, and i get to work on a completely new press. its fully automatic. kinda neat, but it goes really really fast. we put out 1,000 books a minute. For the most part, i am really happy on this crew. the people are amazing! I havent laughed this much at work in a long time! this week, i am off, and Saturday my parents are coming down. and My aunt and uncle from Holland are flying in. this thanksgiving is going to be GREAT! i am getting so excited! this weekend I am spending with my cousin, and we plan on goin down to the mall, gettin starbucks, and watching all the people get ready for the holidays. (translation, watch em all scamper around trying to get the BEST deal, when really, its always that price!)

so, jessica came to visit for the two weeks around her 16th birthday.. we spent most of it here in reno, and then took a road trip over to vacaville to visit Gpa Bob and Dorothy. We had a blast! we ended up going over to Napa Valley, Toured a winery, and then went swimmin.. here, is us, in the pool. It was Tons of FUN!
