i know. i am bad. im not really that good at updating this blog. especially when the weather is nice, and all i wanna do is go PLAY! lets see. from the last post, we have been
to Idaho
to Oregon
to Sacramento
we have re-arranged the house. i have read books. i have worked and worked. We got a hammock! (yeah!) and we planted a herb garden. we have little sprouts in the garden. (guess i have a green thumb after all!)
Idaho was fun. we drove up there Friday night. got there around 2 am (it was about a 7 hour drive) we got a room and slept a bit. then headed over to Josephs brothers place. we had a nice day with him visiting and stuff. then we decided to come home Saturday night. (at that time we were having all those earthquakes, and we decided to make sure everything at home was good) it was a VERY quick trip and i didn't get very many pictures.
the very next weekend, we went to Oregon to go visit my parents. that was a fun trip. but short as well.. we drove up Friday, back on Sunday. Friday night we had quesedillas and movies. my sister came over to visit.
Saturday we headed over to the coast. The guys went out on a charter boat to go deep sea fishing. Poor Joseph had sea sickness from about an hour into the trip.
it was windy and cold! before their trip we did get a chance to walk on the beach..
after the guys got off the boat, they wanted to just head home. so we headed back to my moms. and that night we went to their local casino for a magic show. it was a good show. better than some that we have here in reno.
so we got back and it was back to work. We have been working to get caught up, money saved, and we want a few "toys".
one day, while i was on nights, Joseph came home from working with his dad in Truckee. He was in and out for about an hour, and finally i got up and asked him what the heck he was doing.
"hanging up your present" he says. "look outside"
well he had gotten a hammock at a yard sale. and he knows i have wanted one for a VERY LONG TIME!
he hung it in the back yard, between two "perfectly spaced" trees. i have read many books out there so far. early morning and early evening are great times to sit out there. i don't hear anything but the birds. no traffic or anything. its the Ultimate backyard getaway :)
and then, for mothers day i made cards for this guy at work, and he paid me with a small fish tank.
we have two fish in it. and they have lasted about a week. (yaay!) i robbed a shelving unit i was using upstairs. and now i have a fish tank stand AND a bookshelf for my dean koontz collection.
Ive also been working on getting the "clutter" out of the house. we brought in the water cooler since its not getting drank out in the garage (was that proper english?) and then i used my little table i got at michaels awhile back for the wine rack.. i like it way better than a tall dark one.
we are now working to get the gutairs out of the loft (the humidity from the dryer is warping the "necks" so i have to come up with a solution.
this last weekend, we took a trip to Sacramento. it was fun! we went to ikea. got some great ideas, and some neat little things.. we then headed to old town sac. THAT was neat. there was a store there, its a HUGE version of spencers joke store. we diddled around there, and headed home. spent the next day watching MANY movies. and planting more herbs with the pails we got at ikea.
so, i think thats about the extent of whats is going on here!
